Mistakes! Human priceless gem.

Often we make mistakes, and then we wish the earth could swallow up that mistake as though it never existed. Or if we had the power to reverse time to amend it. In such moments, the best plots of our lives get written.

We know how difficult it takes to get our minds to accept that we made a big mistake - especially the irreversible ones. In such scenarios, it can be hard to tell your mind to move forward and forget the past and instead focus on improving.

You know that feeling that comes with making mistakes; and how it pushes us to redeem ourselves instead of being vulnerable and learning from it. From personal observation, it can be challenging to make an objective decision from the place of emotion.

Period of mistakes presents the opportunity to build our minds to forge ahead towards stardom irrespective of the boo-ings that come from fans of emotions in the stadium of our minds. Remember, a football player who gets booed today could become instrumental in another crucial game.

During periods of mistakes, intentionally reminding ourselves to move forward goes a long way in training our minds to choose to win another match instead of trying to repeat that match. When we do so, we continue writing the best plot in the story of lives.

Hence, each time we make mistakes, we should intentionally remind ourselves to move forward. The lessons we learn from making mistakes end up being valuable after objective and continuous self-review. A self-review should be from a mind that sees mistakes as a great learning experience.

Opening up and being vulnerable is another strength that gets downplayed often. I have found relief by discussing failures and mistakes (especially those moments when they happen). Nobody likes to make mistakes. But when it happens, if you look closely, you will find out people also make the same and could gain a lot of strength knowing that they are not alone.

Mistakes, often seen as taboo, could be likened to the unique icing on the cake of life. Hence, when next you make mistakes, remind yourself "not to get carried away with the process, instead gain from the lessons".
